The Houston Chapter of the Texas General Counsel Forum would like to invite you to attend a Forum Women evening event on Thursday, October 30th at La Griglia Restaurant.
Our Theme
What are the qualities that distinguish a leader from a manager? How can we demonstrate those leadership qualities in our General Counsel roles? What factors sometimes get in the way of our ability to do that, and how can we overcome those hurdles?
Our moderator will lead us in thinking through some of these issues while providing some of her observations from her work as a leadership advisor to CEO’s and other C-suite executives.
Please come prepared to have a lively discussion and to share some of your own thoughts and experiences on these issues. Attendees will receive a briefing paper in advance of the dinner, and we’ll capture some of the learning for a written
summary to be distributed subsequently.
Our Moderator
Kathy Dockry is Managing Director of Significa Leadership Advisors LLC. A former general counsel herself, she leveraged her ability to re-energize and re-align organizations into a series of other senior general management roles. Her corporate career culminated as President, North America for a well-known British
oil and chemicals company.
In her current career as a leadership advisor, Kathy focuses on accelerating the success of senior executives who have just assumed or are preparing to assume major roles. For more details on Kathy, you can check out the Significa website at www.sla-llc.com.
This is the last Forum Women event for 2008 and, with your input, we hope to schedule more networking sessions in 2009.
We look forward to seeing you!
